A Message from Matt Corey
Over the past several months, I’ve traveled across Connecticut, listening to Republicans, small business owners, working families, seniors, and young people — all of whom are feeling the weight of a government that no longer puts them first.
Through my exploratory committee, I’ve done what I’ve always done: I talked directly to the people and asked one simple question — Where can I be most valuable in helping turn this state around?
After many conversations with Connecticut residents, as well as former and current elected officials, I’ve reached a decision:
The best way I can serve the Republican Party — and more importantly, the people of Connecticut — is as your next Lieutenant Governor.
I will bring to this role the same commitment and discipline I brought to my service in the U.S. Navy, my experience as a small business owner, and my steadfast America First advocacy.
No matter who wins the gubernatorial primary next August, I will be there to amplify the voice of our conservative base and to represent the people — not the political elite. We need a Lieutenant Governor ready to work alongside the next administration and the Trump White House to transform America First policies into Connecticut First policies.
As Lieutenant Governor, my focus will be guided by the principles of DOGE — Drive, Opportunity, Growth, and Efficiency:
- Drive: Delivering real results and holding government accountable.
- Opportunity: Creating a business-friendly environment that supports job creation and entrepreneurship.
- Growth: Making Connecticut a place where families and businesses can thrive.
- Efficiency: Cutting red tape, lowering energy costs, and streamlining government services.
We must tackle the high cost of energy — one of the biggest burdens on Connecticut families and job creators. That means expanding access to natural gas and investing in portable nuclear energy solutions to make our state more competitive and reliable.
Equally important, we need to ensure we have a well-trained, educated workforce to meet the demands of a modern economy. It’s time to align education with opportunity and bring back skilled trades and apprenticeships that empower our youth and rebuild our middle class.
The working people of Connecticut deserve the ability to live, grow, and raise a family affordably. That’s how we restore trust, rebuild our economy, and bring common sense back to our state government.
Together, we can deliver bold leadership, conservative values, and real results for the people of Connecticut.
